About the role
NinthMoon is building an AI-native reproductive care ecosystem designed to support women across periods, fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause, and beyond. At the center of this vision is Nimo — an emotionally intelligent AI designed to provide personalized guidance, support, and continuity of care throughout a woman’s reproductive journey.
We’re looking for a Founding AI Product Engineer to work directly with the founder and help build the next generation of AI experiences across our mobile app and web platform.
What you’ll do
AI product development
- Design, build, and improve AI-powered product experiences.
- Develop and optimize prompts, workflows, memory systems, and AI interactions.
- Improve personalization, context management, and user experience.
- Prototype and launch new AI capabilities quickly.
AI engineering
- Build and maintain integrations with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, and other AI services.
- Design evaluation frameworks to measure quality, safety, and performance.
- Implement retrieval, memory, and knowledge systems.
- Improve AI reliability, response quality, and scalability.
Full-stack development
- Build and maintain AI-powered features across web and mobile platforms.
- Develop APIs, backend services, and supporting infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and QA teams.
AI innovation & research
- Stay up to date with advancements in AI, agent frameworks, tooling, and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate and experiment with new models, frameworks, and development approaches.
- Translate AI capabilities into meaningful user experiences.
What we’re looking for
- Experience building and shipping AI-powered products.
- Strong Python development skills.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
- Experience working with LLM APIs and modern AI tooling.
- Ability to independently design, build, and deploy solutions.
- Strong product thinking and a user-centric mindset.
- Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment.
Bonus points
- OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Claude, GPT, MCPs, LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Vercel AI SDK, Firebase.
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Memory systems and agent workflows.
- Mobile application development.
- Healthcare, FemTech, Mental Health, or Consumer AI products.
- Evaluation frameworks and AI observability tools.
How we work
We leverage modern AI development tools extensively, including Claude, Cursor, and other AI-assisted workflows. However, we’re looking for someone who understands the underlying engineering and can build with or without AI coding tools.
